Apple Music Comes to Bluesound

Apple Music Comes to Bluesound

Great news for Apple Music subscribers: Bluesound now supports Apple Music directly through the BluOS Controller app, bringing your favourite music to your hi-fi system and throughout your home.

For years, Bluesound has made it easy to enjoy high-quality music streaming through a dedicated hi-fi system or a whole-home audio setup. Now, with the arrival of native Apple Music integration, there's even more reason to love the Bluesound experience.

Whether you're listening through a Bluesound NODE connected to your existing hi-fi, enjoying a POWERNODE stereo system or streaming throughout your home with Bluesound wireless speakers, Apple Music is now part of the BluOS experience.

Apple Music with Bluesound

Apple Music, Built Right Into BluOS

The big change is that Apple Music is now integrated directly into the BluOS Controller app, alongside the other supported music streaming services.

Previously, Apple Music users could stream to compatible Bluesound products using Apple AirPlay 2. While that remains an option, native integration offers a more seamless way to browse and play music directly through BluOS.

Simply sign in to your Apple Music account within the BluOS Controller app, choose what you want to hear and start listening. Your compatible Bluesound player streams the music directly, rather than relying on your phone or tablet to deliver the audio.

That means less dependence on your mobile device and a more integrated listening experience.

Take Your Music Throughout the Home

One of the biggest advantages of Bluesound is its multi-room capability, and Apple Music fits naturally into this experience.

Play music through a single player in your living room, group multiple Bluesound players to synchronise music throughout the house, or choose different music for different rooms.

You could have an album playing through your main hi-fi system while a playlist runs in the kitchen and something completely different plays in the bedroom.

It's a flexible way to enjoy your Apple Music subscription, whether you're listening critically in your favourite chair or simply enjoying music as you move around the house.

Is Your Bluesound System Compatible?

Apple Music integration is being delivered through a free BluOS software update for compatible Bluesound players. It also extends to compatible BluOS products from other audio brands, such as Monitor Audio.

If you already own a compatible Bluesound product, you won't need to purchase new hardware to take advantage of the integration. Update your BluOS software, open the BluOS Controller app and sign in to Apple Music. An active Apple Music subscription is required.

If you're considering a new streaming system, this is another compelling reason to look at Bluesound. Products such as the NODE streaming player and POWERNODE streaming amplifier make it easy to bring modern music streaming into a quality hi-fi system without unnecessary complexity.
