New from Audio Research is the I/50 Integrated tube amplifier. The first in a new design series, with the goal of nothing less than sublime music reproduction. Created for those seeking a compact, yet powerful integrated amplifier with all the warmth and tone that can only be delivered by tubes, the I/50 will tick many boxes.
Handcrafted in Minnesota by expert craftspeople, the I/50 has the same outstanding build quality as all other Audio Research products and is available in a range of colours with a durable Cerakote finish. A lot of care and attention goes into each and every I/50, with each one receiving its own listening test from designer Warren Gehl before leaving the factory.
Inspired design
A striking design sets the I/50 apart from traditional component design, with the tubes that provide the 50W per channel, on display front and centre. A pair of LexieTubes are used to display information and help give the I/50 its distinctive look. The I/50 is designed to be easy to use, and has three controls on its top panel – Power, Input, and Volume. A full-function metal remote control provides further functionality and operation.
A substantial power supply with high current design means the 50W per channel is capable of driving some of the most challenging speakers, with the I/50 quickly gaining a reputation as a powerhouse amp.

The quality of materials used and the meticulous attention to detail in the design and manufacturing mean that this amplifier will be with you for a long time. It's given the same level of care as the reference level products, meaning you can be confident of enjoying many years of beautiful, lifelike music.
The modular design of the I/50 allows for easy expansion as your needs change, with phono stage and DAC options appearing in the near future. The Phono module provides 42 dB of gain, allowing a wide choice of moving magnet and high-output moving coilcartridges. The D/A Converter will have multiple connection options and an array of decoding formats to accommodate the wide spectrum of music formats and resolutions. A headphone jack allows for some personal listening if needed.
